Welcome.

The Aeronautics Research Working Group is comprised of members of the National Council of Space Grant Directors, with associate members from Space Grant academic affiliates, industry affiliates, and NASA Centers.

The group will provide a forum to facilitate the continuing visibility of aeronautics in the Space Grant Program. The success of the Working Group will be evidenced through higher profile recognition of the interdependent relationship of aeronautics and space science.

Other working groups include direct links to NASA’s priority areas. They serve as the liaison to NASA Mission Directorates for the National Council of Space Grant Directors. The chair of each working group is expected to play a pivotal role in organizing his/her group and fostering communications. Each working group will:

  • serve as advocate for the national Space Grant network, Space Grant interests and resources for the codes;
  • work to increase awareness of Space Grant and to build a positive image for the program;
  • facilitate communication of opportunities, programs and issues between the enterprise codes and the Council members (Space Grant Directors); and
  • develop initiatives relative to their area which are of broad interest to Space Grant consortia.
