The Native Schools Science Fair showcases hands-on experiences for elementary, middle, and high school students as well as student employment opportunities in the science fields. The annual fair brings together all of Nebraska's Native American Schools including Winnebago, St. Augustine's, Santell, Walthill, and Macy. Our program has been highly supportive of this effort in the past years.

Geospatial Extension Specialist (GES) Karisa Vlasek served as a judge the past two years and assisted in recruiting other Space Grant personnel to help, including Dr. Mike Larson, in 2003.

The 2003 Nebraska Native Nations Science Fair was very successful with numerous science projects from various students.
