Applicant Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business
  • Available to work at NASA JSC a minimum of 15 weeks (duraction must be acceptable to the organization) during the Fall semester
  • Limited summer internships are also available for minimum of 10 weeks.
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

NASA JPL Space Grant Summer 2008 Internship Program

Program Details:

  • 10-week summer internship program at JPL in Pasadena, CA for summer 2008
  • Program dates: June 18 – August 22, 2008
  • JPL will supply full-time mentors
  • Students will be housed on the Caltech campus
    • Bus transportation from Caltech to JPL will be provided
  • In addition to technical tasks, students will be able to take part in seminars, social events, and other “enrichment” opportunities offered by JPL and Caltech
  • Selected students will receive a $6,000 stipend and a round-trip travel stipend from the NASA Nebraska Space Grant

Qualifications:

  • Engineering and science Undergraduate students (rising juniors and seniors) and Graduate students are encouraged to apply
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens
  • Applicants must have a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA

  • The cover letter should address which internship position the student is seeking. These descriptions can be downloaded here.

Selections:

  • Applications will be reviewed by the NASA Nebraska Space Grant and will forward the most qualified applications to JPL
  • JPL engineers and scientists will make final selections
  • Final selections will be announced no later than April 15, 2008
